Ingredients

- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1 cup buttermilk
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk eggs, buttermilk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
- Fill each cupcake liner about two-thirds full with batter.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool in the pan for five minutes before transferring to wire racks.
