Delicious and healthy chickpea and portobello mushroom burgers that are easy to make and packed with flavor.
Ingredients

- 2 large portobello mushrooms (about 300g)
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup canned chickpeas, rinsed and drained
- 2 tbsp soy sauce (low-sodium recommended)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- Clean portobello mushrooms by wiping them with a damp cloth.
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté minced garlic and chopped mushrooms in olive oil until tender (about 5 minutes).
- Transfer the mixture to a food processor; add rolled oats, chickpeas, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Pulse until combined but chunky.
- Form the mixture into four patties (about 3 inches wide).
- In the skillet, cook each patty over medium heat for approximately 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Assemble your burger with toasted buns and desired toppings like lettuce and tomato.
Notes
- These burgers can be served with a variety of toppings based on preference.
- Leftover patties can be stored in the refrigerator and reheated later.
