Delicious cream cheese cinnamon rolls with a hint of chocolate and pink food coloring.
Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tsp pink food coloring
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes until frothy. Add melted butter, sugar, cocoa powder, food coloring, and vanilla.
- Gradually mix in flour until combined. Knead on a floured surface for about 7 minutes until smooth. Place in an oiled bowl to rise for 1 hour.
- Roll out dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter over the dough and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll tightly and cut into slices.
- Place rolls on parchment-lined baking sheets to rise for another 30 minutes while preheating oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly before topping with cream cheese frosting.
Notes
- Ensure the milk is warm, not hot, to activate the yeast.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.
