Description

Delicious and fluffy chocolate pancakes that are perfect for breakfast or a sweet treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk (or almond milk)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and sugar until combined.
  2. In another bowl, mix eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined; some lumps are fine.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it.
  5. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface (about 2 minutes), then flip and cook for another minute until golden brown.
  6. Serve warm with toppings of your choice.

Notes

  • For a lighter pancake, substitute half of the all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour.
  • Add chocolate chips for extra sweetness.
