Description

Delicious garlic roasted turnips, perfect as a side dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb turnips, peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp fresh rosemary or thyme, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine olive oil and minced garlic. Stir occasionally until fragrant (about 2 minutes).
  3. In a large bowl, toss the turnip pieces with the warm garlic oil, fresh herbs, salt, and pepper until well coated.
  4. Spread the seasoned turnips in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Roast for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and tender.
