Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 slices bacon
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh thyme or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions

Preheat and Prepare:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a baking dish lightly with oil.

Cook the Bacon:
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy.
- Remove and drain on paper towels. Once cool, crumble into pieces.

Cook the Beef:
- In the same skillet, add olive oil if needed and sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until translucent.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Season with oregano, salt, and pepper.

Combine Cheese Mixture:
- In a bowl, mix together the sour cream, cream cheese, and heavy cream until smooth.

Assemble the Casserole:
- In the prepared baking dish, layer half of the beef mixture on the bottom.
- Spread half of the cheese mixture over the beef.
- Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese over the cheese mixture.
- Repeat layers: remaining beef, cheese mixture, and shredded cheese.

Top with Bacon:
- Sprinkle the crumbled bacon over the top layer of cheese.

Bake:
- Place in the oven and bake for about 20–25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Serve:
- Garnish with fresh thyme or parsley if desired. Serve hot.
