Ingredients

- 1 lb pearl onions
- ½ cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Peel the pearl onions by blanching them in boiling water for 1 minute, then plunging them into ice water to ease peeling.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and add the peeled onions. Sauté until golden brown (5-7 minutes).
- Stir in balsamic vinegar and brown sugar, coating the onions evenly.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the glaze thickens.
- Season with salt and pepper; serve warm.

- For extra flavor, you can add fresh herbs such as thyme or rosemary during the simmering process.
