Description

Delicious pearl onions glazed with balsamic vinegar and brown sugar.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb pearl onions
  • ½ cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Peel the pearl onions by blanching them in boiling water for 1 minute, then plunging them into ice water to ease peeling.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and add the peeled onions. Sauté until golden brown (5-7 minutes).
  3. Stir in balsamic vinegar and brown sugar, coating the onions evenly.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the glaze thickens.
  5. Season with salt and pepper; serve warm.
